Smarter isn’t always better
Purchased a smart light bulb and can’t get it to pair. I’ve reset the WiFi, my phone, lightbulb, and redownloaded the app. At least make the light bulb not flash so that it’s usable as a “normal” light bulb if pairing fails. Now I have a expensive strobe light in my living room…

wouldn’t buy again
Smart lightbulbs are not smart at all, very slow when coming on, switching colors and pretty much doing anything at all. Disconnect one and it’ll have you waiting on a pairing screen for 30 minutes, app interface will close and open on you without prompt, just terrible.
